Hartlett finally made his debut in 2007 after injuries restricted his development in his first two seasons on the list. He played four games last season and was used in defence. He failed to make any impression in those appearances averaging seven disposals and three marks in those games. He was part of Carlton's 2007 NAB Cup premiership side.
