Black had another spectacular season last year playing 21 games and finishing equal runner-up to Jimmy Bartel in the Brownlow Medal. His career is littered with awards including three Premiership medallions, three B&F awards, one Brownlow Medal and one Norm Smith Medal. He has been an elite ball winner since 1999 as he has averaged at least 22 disposals per game in every season since. His impact around the stoppages dropped slightly last season however, winning four clearances per game - his lowest average since 1999. He was still Brisbane's No.1 player at the stoppages as he won the most clearances at the club and also generated the most scores from stoppages at the club.
