Collier represented Tasmania in the VFL last season after he was a surprisingly overlooked from the 2006 NAB AFL Draft. He was selected with Brisbane's second pick at the 2007 NAB AFL Draft (25th overall) after gaining selection to the All-Australian team at the 2007 NAB AFL Championships. He is a tall key position type whose body may be ready made for AFL action this season.
