After earning promotion from the Lions rookie list to the senior list before the 2007 season, Harding managed 11 games last season. He played nine of the first 10 games of the season, but fell out of favour and was dropped after he finished with just three disposals in 69 minutes in the Round 10 draw against Richmond. In 2007 he was used more through the midfield than his debut season increasing his numbers in clearances, but assisting in fewer scores than the previous season.
