Selwood, along with his twin Adam, is the oldest of the four Selwood brothers currently playing AFL. He was sidelined with a back injury until Round 8 last season and in his return match he collected a career-high 35 disposals - 13 more than his previous best. Playing primarily as a tagger, Selwood was able to not only restrict his direct opponents from winning the ball but also won plenty of it himself finishing the season with 25 more disposals than his direct opponents. Impressive considering he played on the likes of Brent Harvey, Scott West, Aaron Davey and Joel Corey.
