Patfull is a handy player who can be switched between defence and attack providing value at either end of the ground. He played 21 games last season averaging just nine disposals per game and booting 13 goals. He did some fine jobs in defence keeping the likes of Scott Lucas, Russell Robertson, Travis Cloke and Lance Franklin to just one goal and Michael O'Loughlin, Brad Johnson and Justin Westhoff goalless. His work was also valued at the club as he finished 10th in Brisbane's B&F.
