Malceski was used as the Swans' designated kicker from defence in 2007. He finished with the second-most disposals at the club and ran hard to rank No.1 at the club for inside 50s and rebound 50s combined. Malceski was often given a free rein out of defence, winning 166 more disposals and taking 61 more marks than his direct opponents - both ranked No.1 at Sydney. In his breakout season he played all 23 games and finished second in the club's B&F - 65 votes behind Brett Kirk.
