Kennelly has two years left on his contract before apparently going home to play Gaelic football in Ireland. He is an integral part of the Sydney team highlighted by his opening four rounds of 2007 when he ranked No.1 at the Swans in disposals, kicks, effective kicks and uncontested possessions as a running half-back. Unfortunately a dislocated kneecap in Round 5 put a halt on what looked like an outstanding 2007 for Kennelly.
