Mackenzie made his debut last season playing just one game. In 72 minutes he picked up 12 disposals, four marks and four contested possessions. He played 20 matches for Claremont in the WAFL averaging 18 disposals and five marks. He is a tall defender who can cover the ground well and could provide a sweeper out of defence for the Eagles in the near future.
