Hurn played every game for the Eagles last season averaging 14 disposals per game and hitting the target with 84% of his disposals. He was also a promising junior cricketer as he was signed to a rookie contract with the South Australian Cricket Association in 2004 before turning down a second contract in 2005 to concentrate on his football. He has played off the half-back flank so far in his career but a move to the midfield should be on the cards in 2008.
