Cox became the Eagles highest paid player as he signed a new four year multi-million deal just before the start of the 2008 season. He is the most dominant ruckman in the AFL and has been named in the All-Australian team in each of the last three seasons. His versatility as a big man is almost unrivalled as he covers plenty of territory averaging 19 disposals last season - the most by any ruckman since Luke Darcy in 2002. Despite Cox's dominance he is yet to win a club B&F, with his consecutive third place finishes in 2004-05 his personal best.
