Hunter's value for the Eagles is huge as he can provide a viable target in the forward line as well as holding his own when playing on the opposition gun forwards in defence. He played all 24 games last season and conceded 31 goals to his direct opponents while booting 14 goals himself. He finished runner-up in the clubs 2007 B&F award after averaging a career-high of 19 disposals and six marks per game.
