A six-time All-Australian, Johnson has gone from an elite goalkicking midfielder to one of the competition's best medium-sized forward in recent years. He once again played a lone hand up forward for the Bulldogs in 2007, scoring 31 more goals than any of his teammates. Despite playing deep in the forward-line he finds plenty of the ball and for his size, is one of the game's best contested marks. Relied on too heavily by the Bulldogs for too long, the recruitment of Scott Welsh from Adelaide may take some of the heat off in 2008.
