Hudson arrives at the Bulldogs after being traded by Adelaide at the end of the 2007 season. While not a dominant ruckman at winning hitouts, Hudson is the workhorse type of ruckman who relishes getting down and dirty and winning his own ball. He provides plenty of value once the ruck contest is over and has done so throughout his 55-game career. Recruited by the Crows as a mature-aged player from the VFL in 2003, he played 33 games in 2004-05 before undergoing a knee reconstruction which kept him out of the entire 2006 season.
