Addison was used in defensive roles for much of his 11 games last season, his second on the list. Seen as a potential midfield stopper he was given stints on players including Marc Murphy, Adam Goodes and Nigel Lappin, but has a long way to go to make it in this role. He struggled to win the ball at junior level and with this continuing at AFL level to date, a defensive role seems most likely during his career.
