With 22 games in the past two seasons the Bulldogs have developed Wight in defensive roles. Along with Tom Williams, Wight will be given every chance to prove himself as a key defender to give support to Brian Lake. While he offers little in terms of attack, Wight has shown on occasions he can stop an opposition forward, but still has plenty of improvement left in him.
