Callan has moved across to the Western Bulldogs after winning the B&F at VFL level for Geelong in 2007. The strength of the Cats midfield in 2007 meant that while performing well in the VFL most weeks last year, Callan was unable to get into the senior side at all. After 15 matches in five seasons at Geelong he was traded hoping for more opportunities, but is seen as a potential tagger for the Bulldogs.
