Baker remains one of the competition's bigger ball winning taggers. In 2007 he averaged 15 disposals and won more than 20 on three occasions. His fierce tackling has been a feature of his game over the years, laying the fifth-most tackles of any Saint since 2002. As St Kilda's No.1 tagger, he will be sorely missed in the opening five games after being suspended for seven matches for his rough conduct on Jeff Farmer in Round 20.
