McEvoy was one of the premier big men of the 2007 TAC Cup playing as a roaming ruckman in the first half of the season and key forward from then on. He ended the year as the TAC Cup's leader in overall marks and marks on a lead, and ranked equal second in contested marks. His marking and reading of the play are his two major strengths.
