Schneider played 98 games at Sydney and was traded to St Kilda despite his 2007 numbers improving on those that he produced between 2004-06. He had more impact on the scoreboard than ever ranking fourth at the Swans in goals and third in assists. He also averaged a career-high 16 disposals, 11 uncontested possessions and three tackles.
