Excitement machine is the best way to describe Cotchin. He arrives at Richmond after a stellar junior career where he dominated the TAC Cup competition late in 2006 and 2007 for the Northern Knights. He is a midfielder that can play inside and outside, he can kick bags of goals and is explosive around the stoppages. In the TAC Cup competition his creativity when pushing forward was as good as anyone, averaging a staggering eight inside 50s last season and also averaging the most goal assists in the competition.
