McGuane looks set to be a regular down back playing on the opposition's tall forwards. He is a stopper who was one of the elite spoilers of the competition with 82% of those resulting in either a stoppage or teammate possession. When in possession he struggles by foot hitting the target a poor 65% of the time last season.
