At 31 years of age Lade remains one of the elite tap ruckmen of the competition. Although his 2007 wasn't as good as his 2006 - a season where he won the Port Adelaide B&F, he still won All-Australian selection for the second consecutive season. Lade's dominance in finding a teammate with his hitout ranks him No.1 with the highest hitout-to-advantage rate of any current AFL player since 2002. He is a ruckmen that wins plenty of the ball, uses it well and is deadly around goal with an accuracy of 68% since the start of 2003 which included 15 goals from 20 shots last season.
