Lobbe played in the ruck and forward in the 2007 TAC Cup. As a ruckmen his hitout-to-advantage percentage was poor, but as a forward he showed plenty where his strong leading and marking were his strengths. Despite standing 200cm he also showed an ability at ground level once the ball hit the deck with his 40 groundball-gets inside 50 ranking in the top 10 of the 2007 TAC Cup.
