Taken with pick No.71 in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft, Westhoff became the first player since Matthew Pavlich in 2000 to be a multiple goalkicker in each of his first four games. He was one of the surprise packets of 2007 averaging more marks inside 50 than any Power player and taking more contested marks than any player in their debut year since 2002. He struggled in the finals however kicking just two goals in the finals as the opposition paid him the ultimate respect by playing Darren Glass and Matthew Scarlett on him.
