Despite being classed as a small at just 178cm and winning the 2003 Magarey Medal as a midfielder, Ebert was the Power's main focal point in attack in 2007, being the inside 50 target 147 times - 70 more than any of his teammates. He had a career best season kicking a Port Adelaide high 56 goals and leading his side in marks inside 50 as well as groundball-gets inside 50.
