Thomas may have exceeded expectations in his first AFL season in 2007, however inaccurate kicking no doubt cost him more games and recognition as one of the best debutants of the year. In 12 appearances he scored 10.19, letting himself down in front of goals at an extremely high rate. A classy player recruited from South Australia, Thomas begins his career as a small forward but may eventually see himself spend time in the midfield.
