Davies was traded to the Kangaroos from Collingwood at the end of 2007 after playing 12 games in three seasons. Davies spent last season in the VFL, unable to gain a spot in the Magpies midfield. In his debut season of 2005 he had a strong end to the year, but was unable to follow up, playing no more than two games in succession in the two seasons since.
