Harding returned to football through the VFL in 2007 after undergoing a knee reconstruction late in 2006. The Kangaroos' main goal sneak since debuting in 2001, Harding's form in this role peaked in 2002-03 when he scored over 30 goals in each season. He has struggled to recapture that form since then and will face added challenges in 2008 as he competes for a spot in the side with the likes of Lindsay Thomas, Matthew Campbell and Ben Ross.
