Burton was one of the most damaging forwards during the first half of last season as he was the only player in the competition to rank in the top 10 for both goals and score assists at the end of Round 11. His season was cut short by a knee injury as he managed just 13 games for the season, finishing goalless only once. Burton's injuries have been a worry across his career managing to play 20 or more games in just three of his 10 seasons.
