Season 2007 was not only Edwards' 13th of AFL football but was also the best of his career. He averaged a career-high 25 disposals, 19 uncontested possessions, six marks and four tackles per game. He finished with 30 or more disposals on six occasions including a career-high 41 against Hawthorn in Round 14. He led the Crows in uncontested marks, uncontested possessions and score assists last season and ranked second in disposals, kicks, clearances, inside 50s, rebound 50s and tackles. He also won the third most clearances at the club and grabbed the fourth most marks, contested possessions and looseball-gets.
