McLeod has built up a massive list of achievements across his career including back-to-back Premierships, two Norm Smith medals, three B&F awards and named All-Australian on five occasions. In 2007 he was also named captain of the All-Australian side after averaging 24 disposals and five rebound 50s playing across the half-back line. He failed to collect at least 15 disposals in only two of his 23 games last season, led the AFL in handball-receives while ranking second for inside 50s and rebound 50s combined. He also won 202 more disposals than his direct opponents across the season - the second best differential in the league.
