Moss is also a promising cricketer, in fact he was wicket-keeping for South Australia U19's against Tasmania at the same time Adelaide selected him at the 2007 Rookie draft. Moss was somewhat of a surprise draft selection as he didn't make his SANFL Under-19 debut until Round 17 last season after spending the first half of the season at local club Willaston. He made an immediate impact at junior level in the SANFL earning his promotion to reserves level before the end of the season.
