Walker is Adelaide's first player to arrive at the club via the AFL's new NSW Scholarship scheme. He could prove to be the bargain pick of the 2007 draft as he was a noted goalkicker at junior level who also has great ground skills. Walker had two seven-goal hauls in the 2007 finals playing for local club Broken Hill.
