Walker booted the fifth most goals in the SANFL last season. Playing for Norwood, he started the season in the reserves, booting eight goals in his first two games. He was elevated to the seniors for Round 3 and finished the season with 56 goals from his 19 games at senior level. He was selected by the Crows via the NSW scholarship scheme and could be a handy inclusion to the Crows' forward-line in 2009.
