Martin has been rookie-listed by Adelaide for the 2008 season after spending the entire 2007 season playing for Sturt at reserves level in the SANFL. His stocks rose towards the end of the season when he was named in the best in five of the final six games of the season. He was also one of Sturt's best performed player's in its Under-19 grand final winning 26 disposals and booting two goals.
