Dangerfield was taken with Adelaide's first pick at the 2007 NAB AFL Draft (10th overall) despite knowing his intentions were to stay in Geelong to finish his Year 12 studies in 2008. Dangerfield is an explosive runner who loves to run and carry and is also good in close, winning 59% of his possessions from a contest last season. In a unique arrangement, Dangerfield will continue to play for Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup in 2008 and will train with the Crows during school breaks.
