Kite was a part of the Calder Cannons 2007 TAC Premiership side spending the season as an integral part of the Cannons' back-line as well as their attack. He is a tall key position type and considering he was taken with pick 71 at the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, should be given plenty of time to develop. He played two games for Vic Metro at the 2007 NAB AFL Championships averaging just four disposals while booting three goals in those games.
