Tippett exploded onto the scene during the 2008 NAB Cup, grabbing six contested marks and booting seven goals in his four appearances. He became Adelaide's No.1 forward entering the H&A season, but he failed to carry his solid form across the entire season. He booted 17 goals for the season - with only four of these scored in his last 11 games. Tippett was the Crows' second most used target when kicking inside 50 and he laid the third most tackles of any Crows player inside the forward 50.
