Otten was Oakleigh's B&F winner in the 2007 TAC Cup season and was also a member of its 2006 premiership side. He was a prolific ball winner in the 2007 season averaging 26 disposals while averaging the second-most contested possessions in the competition. Standing at 191cm he was used as a midfielder and was just as good overhead as he was at ground-level, grabbing the equal fourth-most contested marks while averaging 10 groundball-gets per game.
