Griffin managed 12 games last year after playing the opening 10 rounds of the H&A season. At Round 11, he ranked No.1 at the club in hitouts but managed just two more games for the season, as Ivan Maric stepped up into the role of the teams No.1 ruckman. He averaged just eight disposals per game last season, but was a handy tap ruckman with 26% of his hitouts going to a teammate's advantage - elite for an AFL ruckman.
