Moran managed just three appearances in his three seasons at the Kangaroos before being traded to Adelaide during the off season. He racked up 21 disposals and 10 marks on debut in Round 21, 2006 playing at Aurora Stadium against Hawthorn. Adelaide will look to utilise Moran as a key defender and they obviously paid attention to his form in the VFL in 2007 as he was named in the best on eight occasions in 15 appearances. Moran was born in England and is a natural sportsman as he excelled at both soccer and rugby in his junior days.
