Maric played a career high 16 games last season, averaging career-highs in disposals, hitouts and clearances. He missed the first seven rounds of the season due to a hip injury, but returned in Round 8, playing every game for the rest of the season. He recorded the third-best hitout-to-advantage rate of any of the top-20 hitout winners of the competition averaging 17 hitouts per game - ranked 14th in the AFL.
