Knights went into 2007 with the weight of great expectations on his shoulders and he stepped up accordingly. After a standout performance at the 2006 NAB Cup where he averaged 20 disposals and six inside 50s in four appearances, pundits knew it would be just a matter of time before Knights became a staple in the Crows midfield. Knights played 22 of a possible 23 games in 2007 and ranked fourth in the AFL for disposals per minute picking up 25 or more disposals on 11 occasions. He finished with the third most kicks and the fifth most disposals at the Crows last season.
