Bock was elevated from the Crows rookie list in 2002 and had a career best season in 2008. He was named at centre half-back for the 2008 All-Australian team, recording the most effective kicks of any player in the competition and ranking second for groundball-gets won in the defensive 50. He played all 23 games last season and won his clubs B&F - his first ever top-10 finish in the award. He also led the Crows in kicks, marks, uncontested possessions, handball-receives and rebound 50s.
