Shirley averaged a career-high 18 disposals and three marks per game last season despite being used as a tagger for the Crows. He often had important jobs through the midfield on the likes of Marc Murphy, Cameron Bruce, Simon Black, Brent Harvey and Shaun Burgoyne last season finally finishing with 38 fewer disposals than his direct opponents last season. His durability has also been a plus for the Crows as he has played 68 of a possible 72 games in the past three seasons.
