Time to cement fourth

One of the best wins of the year for us against Carlton last weekend. We were down to two on the bench halfway through the third and we had given them a four-goal lead at half time but to our credit we dug deep and we scraped out a result.

It was a great occasion for myself playing my 150th and one I'll remember for sometime to come. It was a bit emotional before the game when my old mentor and the bloke I accredit a lot of my success to, George Stone, presented me with my jumper and made a very touching speech before we went out onto the ground. I owe an awful lot to George and I'm sure I wouldn't have made the transition as easy as I did if it were not for him. We came back to Sydney straight after the game and I headed to Hugo's in Kings Cross with friends for some beer and pizza to celebrate

From the game itself, we have picked up a few unwanted injuries with Mick O Loughlin damaging his ankle. He will be out for a few weeks while Leo Barry has a slight tear in his hamstring and will miss this weekend. So we should get a few old faces back in Nick Malceski and hopefully I think he is ready to play a bloke you might have heard of Barry Hall. Barry has being great. There has being so much going on and I think he has dealt with it very well. He came down to Melbourne with the team for the game last weekend and you could tell he was really hurting watching us play and wants to get back out there doing what he does best and that is playing Swans/Bloods team-first football.

This week as it's being a short week, our training load has being very light and there has being a massive focus on our recovery and doing everything right so we can give ourselves the best possible chance against an Adelaide team who have being struggling. They will be very desperate for a win to get their season back on track and they are a team who has had the wood over us in recent times. Another big game for us and a chance to cement our position at fourth on the table.
