It's going to be a great first week of finals as there are no obvious favourites in any of the matches.
Hawthorn are the number one team to beat going in, but realistically every team has a chance to win it.
Hawks v Pies
The obvious blockbuster is Hawks v Pies at the 'G, and with at least 100,000 people there the stadium is going to be pumping.
The Hawks are on fire and people recognise they are the team to beat. They have been the team talked up all year, and rightly so.
But the Pies know how to play finals. They've been there before so they have crucial finals experience needed to win.
It's going to be 10 points either way, but I reckon the Hawks will get up in this one.
Crows v Swans
This is a real interesting one. Not many people are sure how good Adelaide and Sydney are, and up until now all the talk has been about the Pies and Hawks.
Sydney and Adelaide both have real quality midfields and can win the ball in the contest. They've also both got great run on the outside and spread really well.
Over there, you'd normally pick Adelaide but the Swans could shut down the Crows run.
I'm going to tip Sydney but it will go down to the wire.
Cats v Freo
I'm going to go with Geelong. They are a team no one will want to play in finals despite not making the top four. They've got amazing players like Joel Selwood, Jimmy Bartel, Corey Enright and others who've been there and done that before.
The fact that it's at the MCG helps the Cats but Fremantle have been fantastic the last few weeks. The Dockers are a young side and has a lot of good players that will have an impact in finals.
But it will be the big name players with big game experience that will get the Cats across the line in the elimination finals. But expect Freo to give them a big fight.
Eagles v North
North's second half of the year was really top quality. They beat top teams and played classy football and they're going to be a real top team in the next two years.
But going to the west is a really tough task. The Eagles have come back into form after a poor patch in the middle of the year, but now they're playing really good footy.
I'm tipping West Coast to beat the Kangaroos over there, not just because of the home ground advantage but also because of the Eagles' finals experience.
