Nick Maxwell: My view on round two

BRISBANE

v CARLTON

Both
teams are coming off good wins in round one and will be keen to secure another
before the Easter weekend. The Blues have decided against rushing back Jamison
and Duigan from injury but instead will take on a Brisbane forward line that is
hard to gauge given the absence of their skipper, Jonathon Brown. Last week it
was Rockliff, Banfield, Polkinghorne, Merrett and Hanley who kicked multiple
goals in a forward line that doesn't have a obvious weapon - making it very

dangerous.

The
Blues showed their quality last week, and despite still having players missing,
they have quality across the board. If they are to be a top four team, they will

be winning this.

KEY

MATCH UP

Leuenberger

/ Hudson v Kruezer / Hampson

Both
teams have great midfields and an even spread of goal kickers. So whichever
ruck pair can help their team to a win in the stoppages will give them the team
of winning. But this is two fold. Given neither team has the real 'power forwards' of the competition, if their resting rucks can pluck a few marks and

convert on the scoreboard, they will add another avenue to goal for their side.
